Basketball Play Designer: Arc
Keep the next
play clear.
Arc is being prepared for its first App Store release. For help, include your app version, device and iOS version, and the steps that led to the problem. Use a fictional or redacted example instead of sending your whole team playbook.
Where should I start?
Open the original example from Playbook, run Play sequence, then change a step in Controls. A blank play lets you position players and add cuts, dribbles, passes and screens. Choose a receiver for a pass. Save commits your play to the device.
Why did changing the base also change a variant?
A linked variant follows unchanged steps in the base. An overridden step stays independent until you choose Return this step to base. Undo restores the previous edit.
Why did my practice keep an older play?
Each practice activity owns the play and variant version you selected. Later edits to its source do not rewrite that practice. Refresh the activity from the current saved play, then save the practice when you want the newer version.
How do I keep a backup?
In Settings choose Save backup in app folder. It writes an editable JSON copy to Arc's Backups folder in Files. Use Share backup to keep a copy elsewhere. Export editable archive also uses the system Files interface. Local backups disappear if you delete the app, so do not reinstall as a first troubleshooting step.
What happens when I import an archive?
Arc validates the JSON format and size and shows a preview. Import replaces the whole library, not just one play or practice, and does not merge items. Export a full backup first if you want to keep the current library. An incompatible archive leaves the library unchanged.
What if Files cannot save or select a document?
Cancel the picker, check available storage and try a working destination. Save backup in app folder provides a direct local backup route; Review saved backup checks that file using Arc's normal archive decoder. A native picker attempt is not a completed export or import. Keep existing copies until you confirm the result.
What happens at the included limit?
Three saved plays, one saved practice and one linked variant per play are included. Pro adds saved capacity through either a one-time purchase or a monthly subscription without a trial. The offer keeps your draft open. After verified access, press Save or Create again; no work is created automatically. If the purchase options are unavailable, close the offer and keep editing existing work.
Can I still use my work after a monthly subscription ends?
Yes. Existing materials remain available for reading, playback, editing and ownership backups. New capacity beyond the included allowance needs active Pro. Restore Purchases checks Apple purchases without changing the library. A one-time purchase does not cancel a monthly subscription; manage any active subscription with Apple.
How do I turn analytics off?
Open Settings → Product analytics and turn it off. This blocks future transmissions and discards queued analytics locally. Re-enabling takes effect after restarting the app. Your playbook contents are never analytics parameters.
