Gold Buyer Desk
Let’s clarify
the worksheet.
Gold Calculator: Buyer Desk is available on the App Store. For questions or a redacted issue report, email us with your app version, iOS version and the steps involved.
Never send an Apple Account password, card details, full receipt, customer roster or commercially sensitive lot backup. A fictional example or redacted screenshot is usually enough.
A first quote in six steps
- Choose the units and currency you use at the counter.
- Enter your reference price per fine-metal unit, with its source and date. The app does not fetch a live price.
- Add each item with its gross weight, non-metal deduction and karat or fineness basis.
- Calculate the mixed lot and check every assumption.
- Set a percentage-of-melt or fixed offer, then save a snapshot.
- Review the customer PDF before sharing; use CSV for internal details and backup for local recovery.
Common questions
Why does 14K differ from 585 fineness?
14K uses 14 ÷ 24, while 585 fineness uses 585 ÷ 1000. They are different numeric assumptions. The app does not test the actual metal.
Is the difference between melt and my offer a profit?
No. It excludes losses, refining fees, taxes and your other costs. It is shown as a spread only.
Does deleting a quote restore an included save?
No. Three original saves are included, and the allowance is monotonic. Deletion and Undo do not create extra saves.
How do I restore Pro?
Open the upgrade menu or Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase and allow Apple’s sign-in prompt if needed. Existing saved quotes remain readable and exportable even without an active subscription.
How do I recover my records?
Export a local backup before changing devices. Import validates records before merging and does not silently replace conflicting saved snapshots. We cannot retrieve records we do not hold.
Can I disable analytics?
Yes. Limited product analytics is enabled by default, with a persistent opt-out in Settings → Product analytics that stops future transmissions. If you re-enable it, restart the app. See the privacy policy for the technical metadata collected and the worksheet details excluded from analytics.
